Irish Heather | Studio Donegal

I absolutely LOVE this yarn!!!!!! I am making the "Coloring Book Raglan" with this yarn and utilizing their top down sweater knitting course. If you are new to knitting sweaters, this pattern, the tutorials, and yarn will be the perfect first project to start your sweater making journey!!!
I know this sweater will be worn over and over for many years! Beautiful colors and wonderful wool!!!

Surprise !

When I received the skein, I was surprised by his beautiful colour. When I transformed the skein in a ball, I admired this lightness, and however his solidity, and his promise of heat during winter.
When I knitted it to test, I was surprised by his rusticity, and I was confirmed in my idea that this wool should perfectly agree whith my project.
Now I've to adapt with my model...
Thank you for these surprises.

A wide landscape on the needles

I ordered 600 gr of Irisch Heather 8059 which is a wonderful green with many subtle touches of colour. My tension is 16s with needle 4,5 - so I therefore recommend that you always make a stitch test and that you pay attention to the total running length when calculating the amount of yarn. :-)
The yarn knits up quickly. I found it a little easier and less tiring to knit this wool with steel needles (instead of wooden needles). The result is a firm and well-defined structure. The stitch pattern is very even. One photo show the two sleeves, the left one has already been washed once. I will knit a cable pattern on the front piece. I will post a photo of the jumper at the end. All communication with This is Knit-Team was extremely friendly and personal. The delivery from Ireland to Germany was fast. Thank you!
