Fjolla is a lightweight pullover, designed by Isabell Kraemer, featuring sweet lace details at the neckline and in panels down the sleeves. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down and the yoke is shaped using a modified version of the contiguous set-in sleeves method.

Note: While this pattern originally calls for two laceweight strands to be held together, for this kit just one strand of Eriu 100% Irish Yarn is needed to create the same gauge.

Featuring a blend of Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) and Romney Lambswool, Ériu offers a natural yarn that beautifully showcases the very best of Irish wool. The fibres are carefully selected by hand to preserve their unique qualities, resulting in a lustrous and resilient yarn that is a pleasure to work with.

Your kit includes:

  • A printed copy of the Fjolla pattern by Isabell Kraemer
  • Yarn required for the size selected

Also required but not included:

  • US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” (40 cm) and 32” (80 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for neck, body and sleeve ribbing.
  • US 5 (3.75 mm) 24” (60 cm) and 32” (80 cm) circular needle and DPNs (or longer circular needle for magic loop) for body and sleeves.
  • Stitch holders
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

Fjolla Sweater Kit in Eiru

Received my yarn beautifully packed in tissue paper . The yarn is fantastic with great stitch definition. The pattern was so well written and easy to follow. I finished my sweater in about 10 days ,it was so addictive and fun to knit with the gorgeous yarn ! Just need to block it and it’s ready to wear . Would highly recommend the project.

The devil in the details

Beautiful yarn. Color wise and texture but halfway through the sweater I found I was sure to run out. Going back to website a note appears buried in the description “while this pattern originally calls for two laceweight strands…just one strand of Eriu is needed.” Now I have to frog it and start over. I knew something was off when I had to adjust needle size to get gauge but never expected to have to get instructions on a kit this way. It seems a simple note in the box would have saved me hours. Hoping this helps others!

Please accept our sincere apologies Mary. You are absolutely correct that this should have been made more clear in the product description and in the kit itself, and we're taking steps today to make sure that happens for future shipments. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I hope you will be back on track with your project very soon.

Good start

I love the colour (Seasong) and the feel of the wool on the needles and my fingers. The pattern is easy to follow so far - I am about to finish the yoke. Thank you all at TIK, my favourite yarn shop!

This yarn😍 Eriu yarn

I can’t wait to knit a jumper in this yarn.
The Feel is lovely.
The colour is beautiful. It looked light yellow in the picture and I hesitated to maybe get the light green. But glad I ordered the sheep’s back.
A beautiful soft colour, not light yellow but more of a cream yellow. Hope to start it soon 💖

This yarn is beautiful and I can't wait to start knitting!!!
