The Scout Shawl designed by Florence Spurling is an intricate, pattern-filled knit shawl inspired by the pieced-together aesthetic of vintage quilts.

A dream project for colourwork lovers, the Scout Shawl's patchwork effect is achieved by mixing stranded colourwork and intarsia knitting throughout. Knitted sideways from tip-to-tip, the easy-to-wear shape and size of the shawl are designed to display maximum detail as it drapes over the shoulders.

The Scout Shawl Kit contains 5 skeins of Townhouse Yarns Fade St. in combinations specially selected by Jenny for this pattern.

Intarsia Newbie

I purchased this kit almost a year ago and am just now getting around to finishing it. I bought Lisa's kit and love the vibrant colors! The yarn is easy to work with but my skills in keeping the yarn from tangling are lacking. :-) At first, the intarsia was hard for me but as I progressed with the project it became easier and easier. I also received encouragement from the crew on Instagram. I am glad I got this kit and now I will have a lovely shawl to show off!
