While this pattern originally calls for two strands of yarn to be held together, for this kit just one strand of Eriu 100% Irish Wool is needed to create the same gauge.
Featuring a blend of Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) and Romney Lambswool, Ériu offers a natural yarn that beautifully showcases the very best of Irish wool. The fibres are carefully selected by hand to preserve their unique qualities, resulting in a lustrous and resilient yarn that is a pleasure to work with.
The lace panels in this design come in charted form.
Your kit includes:
- A printed copy of the Pink Fizz pattern by Andrea Mowry
- Yarn required for the size selected
- Optional extra: A copy of "Irish Aran" by Vawn Corrigan, a beautiful and informative hardback book that explores the history, mythology and growth of the Irish Aran sweater.
Also required but not included:
- US 6/4 mm - 32-40”/80-100 cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs). A 3rd needle will be required for the 3-needle bind off.
- US 7/4.5 mm - Preferred needles for small circumference knitting (Magic Loop or DPNs)
- US 4/3.5 mm - 40”/100 cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting for cuffs and collar.
