A fantastic and handy gift!

Gift vouchers are the handiest gift, especially when it comes to wool. A guilt free way to top up your yarn stash!

Really poor experience

Hi,

I personally don't knit but I got referred your website from a friend and wanted to gift them a gitcard. It was difficult to find the option for a gift card on your site.

The main issue I faced when giving the gift card was the printing and maintenance issues. I tried to print the card a couple of times only for the wrong parts of the website getting sent to the printer (I am very tech savvy and I design websites for a living - for context in case you think this is user error 😆). I went back to this a few days later (the day I wanted to give the gift) and when I tried to load the giftcard page the maintenance page for the website would load OVER the image for the giftcard. It means that I just send them the giftcard on WhatsApp after. Horrible. I would really to to work with Wix or WordPress or whoever you use to make updates. I really felt like a horrible ill-prepared gifted, even though I purchased the giftcard nearly a week in advance.

Hi Marc,
I'm so sorry to learn of your poor experience with our Gift Card product. This falls far from the standard of customer care that we aim to provide to all visitors to our website or to our store.
Your feedback is very welcome, however, as it will allow us to make improvements and changes to our systems going forward.
We have now updated our main menu to show Gift Cards as a stand alone category, so this option will be more visible from the home page.
And in future when our shop is in maintenance mode (which happens just once a year during our annual stock take) we will ensure that all digital gift card records remain visible to their purchasers.
Once again I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration that you experienced with our website, and I hope that we can prove this is not the norm at all when we help your giftee to redeem your very thoughtful gift.
Best wishes,
Lisa
