Darnie | Studio Donegal - This is Knit

Darnie is a stunning 4-ply/fingering weight 100% lambswool yarn from Studio Donegal. This is a beautifully balanced 2ply tweed and absolutely fabulous to knit with. Each skein of Darnie weighs 100 grams and holds 410 metres (448 yards).

Knit once, knit twice!

I visited This is Knit while on holiday in Ireland last summer. My only memento of the trip was the beautiful Darnie lambswool from Studio Donegal that I bought. I started knitting as soon as I got home and the yarn was a dream to work with. I finished the sweater and, to my dismay, found that it is much (much) too big. That was a rough evening. No worries though! I placed another yarn order through the TIK website, it arrived within a week, and I am happily knitting the sweater again. Bonus: someone I love is getting a gorgeous sweater for Christmas!
