A recycled wool-blend yarn that ticks so many boxes. Kremke Soul Wool have taken many steps to ensure this yarn is as sustainable as possible.
The textiles to be recycled are sourced from factories close to where the yarn in spun, reducing the carbon footprint of this product.
While a recycled yarn that is made from 100% natural wool fibres is not possible (due to the blended nature of the input textiles), the approximately 10%-15% polyester that is added to this yarn all comes from 100% regenerated PRT bottles.
What does all this mean for the yarn? Well you will get a yarn that is soft, woolly and has some really interesting texture. Some colours will feature some shading and others will have an almost tweedy effect.
Reborn Wool Recycled is also a very economical yarn to work with, with 200m packed in to every 100g skein.

I haven't used the yarn yet so can't speak to it really. This is for next week. But the sample in the shop, which sees it paired with Midnatssol, seemed like a perfect pairing for Petite Knit patterns that call for chunk and some fluff but not loads. This is an extremely soft but durable wool with great sustainability credentials. We should all try and take more care about where our wool comes from and how it is produced, not only as there are many animal welfare issues but also to support smaller, independent brands.
