With colours influenced by the Irish landscape where owner Tara grew up and wonderful texture provided by the Donegal Nep this hand-painted DK weight yarn is a real treat.
The semi-solid shades are ideal for sweaters and cardigans and the multi-coloured skeins would work beautifully mixed in to a colourwork yoke. The tweed nep brings an extra dimension to your fabric, adding interest and texture to any shawl, wrap or scarf.

This yarn first caught my eye because of the wonderful colourway (Orlock). I really enjoy yarns where the colours variegate a lot without pooling, and this one delivers. It feels super soft during knitting and creates a really lovely fabric. I'm already considering my next purchase for a proper garment this time.

I'm knitting the shawl with 'Dublin' - the real colourway is different than on the photo, it is more like light greys and blues, but I still love it (maybe even more).
Feels gorgeous to work with
I can't wait to start knitting with this yarn. I was looking for a DK tweed and came upon this from the This is Knit site. I purchased several skeins of Donaghadee....the colors in this yarn are exactly like the colors of our fall here in Northern California. I walk my dog at our local State park and the leaves change and become a beautiful mix of pinks, yellows, reds...all pretty against the dark tree trunk and evergreens. I'm going to use this yarn for a sweater pattern called Love Note from Ravelry. Can't wait to begin this project. The yarn is soft yet sturdy and just gorgeous!
