Wonderful Walcot

First time using Walcot Origin yarn after knitting with lots of woolly Shetland type yarn. Took a bit of getting used to the smooth bounciness but it is so soft and comforting as a fabric. Making a dupe of a Toast scarf worked out from photos as a gift for Christmas . It’s just a triangle of grid stitch with garter type rib stitch border - the yarn has brilliant stitch definition. The colour Marigold is just gorgeous too. The yarn gets a little fluffier after blocking too which is perfect

Luxe deluxe

While the label tells you the fibre content, knitting with this beautiful yarn is true luxury. Wonderful.stitch definition, it moves on needles effortlessly. I had to restart and I ripped, rewound and recast without feeling any difference in the yarns quality or workability. Makes lush fabric

Great to knit with - a LOT of pilling

I knit White Mountain & loved the knit with this yarn. Knits up quickly & lovely and soft. However, it is still pilling - months later. I love the jumper, but never wear it out. I’ve used a gleaner - lots and look forward to the pilling stopping.
