With colours influenced by the Irish landscape where owner Tara grew up and wonderful texture provided by the Donegal Nep this hand-painted DK weight yarn is a real treat.
The semi-solid shades are ideal for sweaters and cardigans and the multi-coloured skeins would work beautifully mixed in to a colourwork yoke. The tweed nep brings an extra dimension to your fabric, adding interest and texture to any shawl, wrap or scarf.
Knitting for a baby? We love the Norwegian Fir Cardigan for this extra special baby yarn.
Planning something for yourself? The Gambit Cardi is our team's top pick.
Tweed DK is exclusive to This is Knit. You won't find this IAY base anywhere else!
As this is a hand-dyed yarn please note that each batch will be unique and so please ensure you order enough to complete your project.

IAY’s DK Tweed is one of my must-haves from This is Knit. I’ve purchased several colorways, and I’m always impressed with the quality of the merino, beautiful hues and fun neps. Love the stitch definition. A truly special yarn!
Fabulous yarn and beautiful to knit with
This is gorgeous to knit with its soft and squishy and the colours are stunning. I bought it for a contrast colour and then decided to do a ranunculus. I hadn't ordered enough so the third one is quite different but I will rip back to blend it. The first two were quite different so it may be a fade. Either way with this beautiful yarn you can't go wrong😀
