Darnie is a stunning 4-ply/fingering weight 100% lambswool yarn from Studio Donegal. This is a beautifully balanced 2ply tweed and absolutely fabulous to knit with. Each skein of Darnie weighs 100 grams and holds 410 metres (448 yards).

I visited Ireland from the USA in early May. This Is Knit is a wonderful shop and actually I tried to go back before I left but they were closed! Devastating! Darnie is a beautiful fingering weight yarn from Studio Donegal . The oatmeal colour is so beautiful with a tweed effect . The yarn knits up with good stitch definition and after blocking is soft and easy to wear with a lovely drape . There is over 400 m in a skein so it’s a very economical yarn to use . I am using it to make Forager Light by Isabel Kraemer .
