Affordable Luxury Yarn

This wool is just beautiful, it is lovely and soft but with tweedy bits. It is one of those yarns that you just have to welcome into your house and it makes you smile. I will knit with it eventually but for now I just enjoy looking at it and squishing it.

Roinn hat contrast

I bought one skein of this in mustard as it was the contrast yarn suggested for the Roinn pattern. I already had a few remnants of Studio Donegal Soft Donegal from a throw I knitted a couple of years ago. The TIK staff kindly wound the skein into a ball.
I got going on the hats almost as soon as I got home. The colour was a good contrast for the fuchsia and burgundy remnants and the texture was well matched. I've washed the hats without any difficulties: no shrinkage, no colour leakage.
