Foot Circumference Calculator

Your foot measurement (around the ball of foot or narrowest part of ankle, whichever is larger), in inches:

[ A ] Your desired sock circumference

Make sure you have washed and dried your swatch, then taken a measurement of your stitch gauge over 4 inches. Divide this number by 4 and then input it to the calculator below.

Your Stitch Gauge (per inch)

Enter [ A ] from above, i.e. Your Desired Sock Circumference (in inches)

[ B ] Cast on this number of stitches to *each* needle, using Judy's Magic Cast On:

[ C ] Work toe increases until you have this number of stitches on your needles *in total* :

[ D ] When working the short rows for your heel, leave this number of stitches at the centre of your heel:

[ E ] And this number on either side of those centre heel stitches:
