A versatile chunky weight yarn for your cosy winter knits.
Big, but not too big - this is a great yarn for beginners and a go-to for quick knitting and crochet projects, no matter your skill level.
A blend of wool and acrylic keeps the price point (and the weight of your project!) down, but you still get the squish-factor of merino to enjoy with every stitch.
Think beanies, scarves, hot water bottle cosies all the way up to your next favourite chunky winter cardigan. Big Merino from Katia can do it all!

My kids, 8, 10, 13 love this wool to both crochet and knit with. Its got me hooked now too!
Really love this yarn! Looking forward so much to working with it! Excellent service and so prompt. The girls are really helpful and always respond to any queries. It felt like I was emailing or phoning an old friend! I highly recommend this shop. In fact I don't think I could recommend it more!
I am in my mid seventies and learned how to knit from my mother
and have passed on the skill to my children who have also passed it on to theirs.
I was a primary school teacher and taught hundreds of children how to knit .
So clearly I am a fan . I have knitted bits and bobs over the years and have decided to start knitting chunky knits for my adult children . My youngest daughter is my first victim !!! I am really enjoying it . She likes neutral colours and the colour she chose looks great.I am hoping to experiment with blocks of colour for my granddaughters maybe! I am delighted to have found you because good wool shops are scarce and am looking forward to more wool shopping .
I made a snood scary with this big merino and it was a pleasure, the yarn is very soft and the colour is intense. I love my new scar !
I'm using this wool to make a blanket and it knits up so easily. The colours are good as well.
