Effervescent Kit | Townhouse Yarns

Introducing the Effervescent sweater kit, featuring a deliciously playful pullover that combines the whimsy of Southern California bubble tea drinks with the elegance of lace knitting.

Designed by Aimee Sher, this stunning sweater features tea leaves and yarnover "boba" pearls in the lace yoke, a boxy cropped body, 3/4 length sleeves, and a frothy, light-as-air mohair ruffle.

Each kit comes with the pattern and all the yarn you need to create your own Effervescent sweater, including the perfect yarns to capture the playful spirit of the design. The main yarn is Townhouse Yarns Fade St 4ply, a soft and squishy 4-ply yarn in soft mixed shades. The ruffle detail is made with Abbey Lace, a delicate and lightweight mohair yarn that creates a lovely airy texture.

The kit includes the Fade St/Abbey Lace yarn in the amount required for the size selected, along with a printed copy of the pattern by Aimee Sher. Please note that circular needles, stitch markers, scrap yarn, and a tapestry needle are also required but not included.

The sweater is knit bottom-up in the round and the yoke is shaped using a wedge pattern chart. Short row shaping lifts the neckline in the back before the neckline is worked in ribbing and bound off. The individually published pattern even includes optional bust darts that can be added for up to 5 inches of additional coverage.

Sizes range from 1 to 8, with finished full bust circumferences ranging from 36.25 inches to 64 inches. The intended ease is 4-8 inches or 10-20 cm, but the pattern includes instructions for lengthening the body and sleeves if needed.

• 3.75mm / US 5 circular needles, 40cm / 16” length and 60cm / 24” length and 80cm / 32” length and needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
• 3.5mm / US 4 circular needles, 40cm / 16” length and 80cm / 32” length and needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
• 4mm / US 6 circular needles, 80-100cm / 32-40” length Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
• 4 stitch markers
• Scrap yarn
• Tapestry needle

Size information: Please note this includes the additional requirement for the bust darts and the intended ease is 4"- 8" or 10cm - 20cm.
