A recycled wool-blend yarn that ticks so many boxes. Kremke Soul Wool have taken many steps to ensure this yarn is as sustainable as possible.

The textiles to be recycled are sourced from factories close to where the yarn in spun, reducing the carbon footprint of this product.

While a recycled yarn that is made from 100% natural wool fibres is not possible (due to the blended nature of the input textiles), the approximately 10%-15% polyester that is added to this yarn all comes from 100% regenerated PRT bottles.

What does all this mean for the yarn? Well you will get a yarn that is soft, woolly and has some really interesting texture. Some colours will feature some shading and others will have an almost tweedy effect.

Reborn Wool Recycled is also a very economical yarn to work with, with 200m packed in to every 100g skein.

Review

Have to say it was not easy to wind into balls ! I am on 4th skein so far , first ball had a few pulls etc and was ravelled in some sections .. sent email with pics but no reply !

Hi Marie,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your review, we really appreciate it.

I have checked back in the emails here and I am very sorry but I cannot find a record of it on our side. It may have been that something in the electrons has gone astray. If it is not too much trouble could I ask you to resend the message and we would be very happy to take a look. We always appreciate feedback and try to ensure replies are sent as promptly as possible within the next working day.

We know that some skeins can be a little tricky to wind and so we are always happy to do this before shipping if requested as well.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Aisling

Great Quality gor some colours

Really loved working with this wool and currently working a jumper with the indigo melange, pastel blue and golden yellow. Unfortunately on my last project had a lot of breakage on the red wine and mustard yellow, but this was usually only for 20 to 40cm sections so not impossible to work around if you just cut out the breaking secrions and twist the two ends together with some of the scrap wool.

Lovely! Nightmare to Wind in Black

Service was amazing as usual! The wool itself is beautiful and so reasonable for the quality. The first skein I tried to wind though really tried my patience, an absolute mess. It was impossible to use a ball winder so I wound it by hand from the swift but that was equally challenging. There were loose strands flying, tangles, etc.
Green ones were fine, dream to wind, all of the black ones had an element of being unusably tangled.

Hi Leanne,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your review. I am going to contact the supplier about this issue and I will come back to you by email as soon as I have a further update.

This is a much-loved yarn in the store and thankfully we haven't encountered an issue like this across a batch as you have, so we're confident it is an isolated incident. We're sure that Kremke Soul Wool would want to learn of the issue however and that they will assist us in replacing the yarn for you.

I'll be in touch soon,
Aisling.
