As the colder weather creeps in this time of year we all want a little hug of warmth and nothing wraps around the body nicer than a crescent shaped shawl.
Designed by Anne-Michelle Phelan (Ravelry link) Susurrous uses a strand of Abbey Lace and Clarendon Sock held together for an extra cosy and fluffy knit.
Susurrous was designed to include a mixture of textures for lots of interesting knitting. The main body of the shawl is worked in an easy brioche repeat followed by a more challenging twisted stitch, lace and bobble section and finished off with a few relaxing rows of garter stitch and a picot bind off. The lace design is inspired by maple seeds falling from the trees.
Your kit includes:
- A printed copy of the Susurrous Shawl pattern
- 2 skeins of Clarendon Sock and 2 skeins of Abbey Lace in the colour way Single Malt
Also required but not included:
- 4.5mm 100cm or longer circular needle
- 5mm needle for bind off
- 4.5mm crochet hook for bobbles
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
- Blocking pins
