Irish Yarn Club 2014 We've been sitting on our hands for the last 6 weeks or so, as we have been very excited about the plans for this new Club. Finally we are able to share the details with you all! The Irish Yarn Club 2014 will run from January to May 2014 and will feature three shipments of unique Irish Hand-Dyed Yarns. Each yarn will be accompanied by an exclusive accessory pattern from top designer Carol Feller, sent to each Club Member in PDF form. The Club yarns can be shipped worldwide, and we're really looking forward to sending quality Irish yarns to addresses both near and far. You can purchase full Club Membership at this link (just be sure to select the correct option for your region) and there's also an option for a pattern-only membership here. Of course a Club Membership would make the perfect gift... So if your birthday is coming up, or if you have a Christmas wish list, be sure to leave this window open in your browser as a not-so-subtle hint to your loved ones!

What is the cost of yarn and membership in US Dollars? What type of accessories? Scarves etc?

    Hi Marie,

The USD Cost is $134.20 and I will email you about the nature of the patterns as we want to keep them a surprise for members in general.

    All the best,

    Lisa

Hi there, I think this is a great initiative! Just wondering if any of the patterns are for children?

Hi – thanks for asking :)

I don’t think any of the patterns will be specifically for children, but they will be accessories, so they may be suitable for a range of ages. I’ll ask Carol and see if we can be more specific.

Hi again Frederi. Carol has said that two out of the three accessory patterns will have instructions for children’s sizes. I hope this helps.

Hi. Wondering if I will be able to follow patterns. I’m more of an advanced beginner of sorts. Can knit fair isle no prob, increase and decrease. (But never knitted sweater as its too long as don’t have much time with my daughter). I’ve knitted hats, beret and toys mostly. What would I suggest?

Hi Manuela – the club is aimed at Intermediate Knitters and Carol will be providing additional guidance through photo tutorials. Support will also be available through the Ravelry Club Forum. The projects will also be accessories so time-wise they should be achievable too.

I think if you can knit Fair Isle that you should be able to tackle these patterns, but the assistance is there if you have any queries.

Let us know if you have any more questions!
