Yarn Tasting, Finished Objects and Very Pretty Pictures!
August 21 2010 – thisisknit
If you're attending our Yarn Tasting evening on Thursday 9th September then we have a very special additional treat for you, courtesy of Julie (Rav name: Elven) and Siobhan (Rav name: Iontach). Both of these talented ladies happen to take *very* pretty pictures of finished knit and crochet projects and they have kindly offered to host a "photo booth" on the night.
This is how it will work:
You are welcome to bring one or two of your finished projects along to be photographed and then Julie or Siobhan will take your details and email you on your photos after the event. You can then use these pictures on your blog on Ravelry project page, or just to brag about how talented you are to friends/relatives/neighbours/strangers on the street!
The girls will also be handing out a little general guide to getting the best project pictures on your own camera at home. This service is being offered free of charge but a small donation to Age Action would be welcome.
We are hoping everyone who took part in the summer Annis KAL will bring along their finished shawls. We would love to put together a collage for proud display on the website :D

We’re really disappointed too Roberta – I hope you will still manage to squeeze in a visit so we can say hi? Roll on year 3 for you – we’ll have to check diaries ahead of time!

Julie aka Elven made the photographed version and we agree – they are divine!
Love the photos – especially the red slippers/shoes
So disappointed that I am missing the 2nd annual Yarn Tasting event. Looks like it’ll be a huge success. I’m only missing it my hours, literally flying home that night and will be in Dublin friday morning. Oh well!
Best of luck with the event. Looking forward to seeing the photos.
The pink slippers are so beautiful! Can you provide any information about the pattern/project/maker? Thanks!
