Comfort Zone Tank by Tif Neilan

June 11 2020 – Aishling

Have you been looking for the perfect summer top? Then the Comfort Zone Tank by Tif Neilan is just the pattern for you. And if you purchase the yarn to make your own (before 21/06/2020), then we will include a digital version of the pattern as a free gift to you! (No coupon needed, simply pop a request for the pattern in the comments section of your order.)

This boxy sleeveless top is knit bottom up without waist shaping. Designed with a relaxed fit, and with a choice of lengths (Lisa is wearing the cropped version in the photos) it is the perfect choice to show the wonderful colours in the Feederbrook Farm Entropy DK range.

Entropy is designed to mimic the look of a hand spun yarn. Dyed prior to spinning, this 2 ply Barber Pole has subtle colour shifts that make it a unique gradient perfect for any knit, crochet, or even woven project.

In this project we have paired Entropy with Hverdagsuld from CaMaRose. Økologisk Hverdagsuld (to give the yarn its full Danish name), translates as “organic everyday wool". It is processed and spun exclusively for CaMaRose out of 100% organic fibres by their European manufacturer. The thoughtful and comprehensive colour palette makes pairing shades not only easy, but also fun!

We have picked 3 combinations that we think work really well together, and we have included a guide below as to how many of each you will need based on the size you are planning to make.

In the above photo, Lisa is wearing Combination 1 Entropy in "Refraction" and Hverdagsuld in shade 22.

Combination 2 is Entropy in "Theta" and Hverdagsuld in shade 52.

Combination 3 is Entropy in "Dark Matter" and Hverdagsuld in shade 37.

Of course you can mix-and-match your own colours too! Yarn requirements for cropped sizes only:

    • XS (32") - Hverdagsuld x 2 and Entropy x 2
    • S (35") - Hverdagsuld x 3 and Entropy x 2
    • M (39") - Hverdagsuld x 3 and Entropy x 2
    • L (43.75") - Hverdagsuld x 3 and Entropy x 3
    • XL (48.75") - Hverdagsuld x 4 and Entropy x 3
    • 2X (53.75") - Hverdagsuld x 4 and Entropy x 3
    • 3X (58.75") - Hverdagsuld x 4 and Entropy x 3
