Christmas Hours...
November 17 2008 – thisisknit
Can we run something by you all…?
Last year over Christmas time we closed the shop in Blackrock for about a week and a half. I know we enjoyed the break and the time we had to spend with our loved ones and so we would like to arrange something similar this year.
The new City Centre location does pose some challenges though so we would like to know…
1. If the Blackrock shop closed on the Sunday before Christmas (the 21st) and re-opened on the Saturday after Christmas (the 3rd) would that be ok with most people?
2. If the Powerscourt shop was to operate reduced opening hours (something like 12-4pm) on the days in between Christmas and New Years then would everyone think that was fair enough?
Thanks for any and all feedback :)

You guys provide a great service all year long. Take a rest over xmas. Look forward to spending my gift money on some yarn in new year.
Thanks for involving your customers. It’s lovely to find a place that’s willing to do that these days.
It’s Christmas, so do whatever works best for you. From the looks of it, your customers are loyal, so enjoy your holiday!
After all your hard work this year in bringing us another fabulous shop, you deserve a decent break!!
Enjoy and we will survive!
No problem! I’ll check before if I have enough yarn to survive during your break…don’t want to be starving ;-)
Choose whatever times suit you and enjoy your break! I’m sure we can all do some stash busting over the holidays if we really need to!
Sounds fine. Thanks for asking!
Not only do you guys need a reaonable break but you also need to maximise the opportunity for people coming into town to spend their Santa Money to spend it with you, and the city centre is clearly the best option for that.
Hopefully Santa will have brought lots of ‘How To Knit’ books to people who will then hot-foot it into TIK2.
Sounds good! I wouldn’t be going shopping between Christmas and New Year’s anyway.
Yes. Those times sound reasonable to me. You all need a Christmas break too! Time to enjoy the festivities and to catch up on all the knitting that you want to do :-).
