We've got reason to celebrate! Today, Townhouse Yarns is one year old!
To mark the occasion, Jenny is launching a new range of gorgeous laceweight - a 55%/45% merino and silk blend. It's 800 metres of stunning colour and fibre, and it's called Trinity!
And since birthdays bring presents to mind, we're giving a skein of Trinity away! The glorious colourway below doesn't have a name, so can you give it one?
Just suggest a name in the comments below before 5.30pm on Saturday June 13th (that's shop closing time). One lucky person will win a skein of Trinity of their choice!
Why June 13th, you ask? Well, it's our other reason for celebration round now - it's the date of World Wide Knit in Public Day! We've got lots and lots of other exciting things planned to mark the day and we'll be announcing them very soon, so watch this space!

Because there is silk in it and there is such a wonderful array of colour, how about “A Shine of Rainbows”.
That is the name of a film too, so if that couldn’t be used maybe “Shining Rainbow”
I would call it Under the Sea or Coral Reef

Maybe Cloudburst would be a good name. The yarn looks like rainbow colours trying to burst out of a grey sky.
How about ‘Irish summer’?

Having see this beauty in real life, it really reminds me of paua shell, please google images if you have never seen one!
Paua shells (say “pah-wah”) are the most beautiful shells in the world. They are found in the deep waters off of the South Island of New Zealand near the Antarctic. This deep cold water produces a hard shell with rich deep beautiful color. Colours vary as the shell is viewed at different angles ranging from vibrant blues, to greens to purples, with an iridescence shine.

Connemara – you have the blue and green of the sea, with the yellow and pink of the wild flowers
I like ‘Blossom’ or maybe ‘Orion’
It makes me think of the ocean and the beautifull shells you can find on the beach, so: Ocean, Pacific waves, Pearl-shell, Mother-of-pearl.
How about Forget- Me-Not? After all, this beautiful yarn is unforgettable!
‘Mystic topaz’ – the colours are really similar to this gem.
Spring Flowers or Amelia’s Flowers. The colors are beautiful like Spring.
