Happy birthday, dear Townhouse!
June 03 2015 – thisisknit
We've got reason to celebrate! Today, Townhouse Yarns is one year old!
To mark the occasion, Jenny is launching a new range of gorgeous laceweight - a 55%/45% merino and silk blend. It's 800 metres of stunning colour and fibre, and it's called Trinity!
And since birthdays bring presents to mind, we're giving a skein of Trinity away! The glorious colourway below doesn't have a name, so can you give it one?
Just suggest a name in the comments below before 5.30pm on Saturday June 13th (that's shop closing time). One lucky person will win a skein of Trinity of their choice!
Why June 13th, you ask? Well, it's our other reason for celebration round now - it's the date of World Wide Knit in Public Day! We've got lots and lots of other exciting things planned to mark the day and we'll be announcing them very soon, so watch this space!
And many happy returns, Townhouse!

Just had another thought… How about Irish Iridescence?
How about Cornucopia…. There is such an array of colour!
My suggestion is "serendipity "
stunning seas
They are all beautiful my suggestion for a name is SHIMMERER they all glow so marvellously looking forward to seeing them en mass ! and to deciding what to knit with them
Northern Lights
The colours remind me of Bubbles!
DANCING ON THE COBBLES -it made me think of the trinity ball & all the beautiful dresses, middle of the night…the cobbles…beautiful people….!
Parakeet or lovebird….
“Kaleidoscope " -A myriad of changing colours in one skein 😀
How about Prism? This yarn reminds me of the rainbow spectrum of light when you shine it through a prism.
I’d say “Chameleon” because it has so many colours hidden in it.
It makes me think of the book “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” somehow, so I suggest “Electric Sheep”.
Well, a few come to mind: Punk Peacock, Dyer’s Delight, or ’80s Disco.
Turquoise Delight
Hi reminds me of fields of Heathers, so going with “Heathers” or “Shades of Heathers”
It reminds me of the beginning of a storm…so I’d call it “calm before storm”.
A suggestion would be KINGFISHER, or maybe another – the FEATHERBED in Spring – GORSE, HEATHER, SKY…beautiful images evoked by the colours…
Happy Birthday, Townhouse Yarns!
Rainy Aurora- it looks like a rainy Aurora Borealis Sky
