Did you know there are several different ways to make a simple knit stitch? The most common styles you will hear about are English style and Continental style, but there's also Combination, Eastern, Norwegian style and more...

LESSON ONE
Knitting Styles: Time to try something new
Knitting Styles: English and Continental
In this video we show both English and Continental style so that you can decide if you want to try holding one colour of yarn in each hand. This is Lisa's preferred method for knitting two stranded colourwork and it has a lot of benefits. Try out the style that's least familiar to you on a small simple project and then come back to give two handed knitting a whirl!

Garter Stitch Goodness
Need a little inspiration for quick garter knits to practice on? We've put together a mini bundle of ideas over on Ravelry for you. You'll be conquering new knitting styles before you know it!
But what about purling?
You won't need to know continental purl for working the two handed colourwork method in our Follow Along projects, but we know there are still the curious knitters among you! Lisa's favourite method of purling with the yarn held in her left hand is the Norwegian Style Purl. We have a quick tutorial on our Instagram account for this method and you can find it linked below.
